Hong Kong is set to move to สล็อต ออนไลน์ England’s green list on 19 July, meaning that travellers from China's special administrative region will no longer need to quarantine on arrival.
Hong Kong is currently somewhat Covid-free. The city has only confirmed one local case in the last two weeks.
However, flights look unlikely to fully resume in both directions, as the UK is classed as an “extremely high-risk” country by Hong Kong.
This is due to rising cases of the Delta variant. Hong Kong banned flights from the UK on 1 July for this reason.
The Hong Kong Free Press website suggests that some may be looking to imminently leave Hong Kong for political reasons, saying “there has been an uptick in the number of Hongkongers leaving for good in recent weeks”, taking advantage of special UK visas that were introduced at the beginning of the year.
Nevertheless, local Hong Kong media note that the authorities are easing restrictions to allow Hongkongers to return from the UK.
The South China Morning Post says bans are now being lifted on residents and workers returning from the UK “if they hold recognised jab records”, given that the 1 July flight ban left many stranded.
The newspaper adds that unvaccinated children who are stranded in the UK may be allowed to return to Hong Kong “on compassionate grounds”.
